  1. Not to hijack the thread, but it looks like there will be some quite interesting weather in SE New York today. Lucky bastards ;)

  2. Going with 92° for Tues, looks to me like WU best forecast would be the winner in the general public's eye, even though a high temp of 91 would be closer to weather.com forecast, The WU forecast of highs in the 90's would win out, as the general public would say Wow!!! nobody forecast temps in the 90's.

  3. Here is a update from our local mets based on their web site's as I viewed them at 11:30pm Saturday night. I don't when they all updated them ( it would be beneficial for them to put up the date and time it was posted on said web sites)

    Fox 9 = 89°
    Kare 11=87°
    KSTP 5 = 84°
    WCCO 4 = 89°

I think fox and cco have the right idea, they are just not ready yet to pull the 90° string. In my opinion I think they should.

  4. And here is the afternoon high temp for Tues. from the NWS as discussed in their AFD, which I didn't look at until I posted my forecast.

TUESDAY WILL BE QUITE WARM ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL MN AS
THE THERMAL RIDGE NOSES INTO THE AREA WITH THE ADVANCING FRONT.
HIGHS AROUND OR EVEN ABOVE 90 DEGREES APPEAR LIKELY ACROSS THE
    HEART OF THE CWA.

  5. The upshot to this heat/wind is that approximately 25% of the country is covered by a fire weather warning.

  9. Well, it looks like Wunderground really nailed it last week. I stand corrected! I gotta say that 95 doesn't feel like 95 when the humidity is 19% and wind's blowing 30 mph! :)
